How does it work?

Just visit the purchase tickets page on our website and you’ll see all the available dates/times and their color-coded respective ticket prices. Each day’s ticket prices are determined based on a number of factors including day of the week, holidays, local events and expected attendance. 

In general, for busier periods with higher estimated attendance, prices will reflect high demand. For quieter attendance days, prices will be lower.

Follow these instructions to purchase your tickets:

  • Visit the pricing calendar found on the Buy Tickets page
  • Use the color coding to determine prices
  • Select a date that works for your budget and your schedule
  • Enter ticket quantities
  • Click “Buy Tickets” and check out.

How much can you save?

Save up to 30% by purchasing in advance. Price varies based on a number of factors — but the prices listed for each date will always be the most affordable option for that particular date. The earlier you buy, the cheaper – depending on demand, tickets will either remain that price or increase, so purchasing earlier is always the best option to lock in those savings!

Why is it better to buy tickets early? 

Prices continue to increase the closer you get to the date of your visit. Purchasing early, guarantees the most cost-effective option. So go grab your tickets now!

How can I get the best ticket price? 

Buy your tickets as early as you can to guarantee you’re getting the lowest rate.      

How far in advance can I purchase tickets? 

We release ticket dates 30 days in advance. Please check back regularly to see what’s available. 

Do you offer other discounts? 

We do! We offer a discount on the plan-ahead ticket price for youth, seniors, students, and military. Additionally, we offer free or reduced admission through a number of access programs.

Members always receive free admission!

Become a member to get free admission each time you visit. Some membership levels pay for themselves in as little as two visits. 

Can I still buy a ticket when I get to the Museum?

Yes, but while we no longer require guests to purchase tickets online in advance, it is strongly recommended. By purchasing at least one day in advance of your visit, you can enjoy guaranteed availability as the Museum can sell out on popular busy days like weekends, holidays etc.

What if I am sick or cannot come to the museum on my ticket date? Can I get a refund?

We understand that plans change. Tickets can be exchanged one time only as long as you request the exchange prior to 5 p.m. on the date printed on your ticket. The full value of your ticket will be applied to the purchase price of a new ticket of equal or greater value. If you choose to visit on a date that costs less, no refund will be given. What if I need to buy more tickets at a later date? Will I get the same ticket price?

Ticket prices may change daily, so the only way to lock-in a price is by actually buying your ticket. If you need additional tickets, we recommend buying as soon as possible to receive the lowest price.
