How do I join as a member?
- ONLINE: Click here and choose a membership level.
- BY PHONE: Call our Membership Office at 202.654.2840 (Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM) or our Call Center at 202.654.0991 (Every day 10AM-5PM).
- IN PERSON: Visit our Ticketing Counter during regular Museum hours.
- MAIL: You can send your check or credit card payment to the below address. Please include your full name, your intended membership level, email, and mailing address.
How do I renew my membership?
- ONLINE: Click here and login to your membership account.
- BY PHONE: Call our Membership Office at 202.654.2840 (Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM) or our Call Center at 202.654.0991 (Every day 10AM-5PM).
- IN PERSON: Visit our Ticketing Counter during regular Museum hours.
- MAIL: You can send your check or credit card payment to the below address. Please include your full name, your intended membership level, email, and mailing address.
What ages are considered children for the Spy Ring membership?
Can I apply my tickets toward a membership purchase?
- Yes! On the day of your visit, you can apply the purchase of timed-entry tickets toward a membership. Please visit the Ticketing Counter located directly inside the main entrance.
- You can only apply your tickets toward a membership purchase on the day of your visit.
What communications do I receive as a member?
- Members receive weekly emails from SPY about upcoming programs and museum news. Members also receive exclusive quarterly e-newsletters about members-only events, updates, and special content.
How do I update my contact information?
- Please reach out to the Membership Office at membership@spymuseum.org or 202.654.2840 to update your contact information.
Is my membership purchase tax-deductible?
- The Operative (Individual, $99) and Spy Ring (Family, $199) levels are fully tax deductible.
- $450 of the (Premium Level, $500) Alberti Society membership is tax-deductible.
- $900 of the (Premium Level, $1,000) Lafayette Society membership is tax-deductible.
- $1,800 of the (Premium Level, $2,000) Argo Society membership is tax-deductible.
Can I upgrade my membership to a higher level?
- Yes! Please reach out to the Membership Office at membership@spymuseum.org or 202.654.2840 to upgrade your current membership.
Membership Cards and Benefits:
Will I receive a membership card?
- Members receive a digital membership card via email.
- The digital membership card will be sent from alerts@museumanywhere.com.
- We do not issue paper membership cards.
Will I receive guest passes?
- No, we do not mail hard copies of guest passes. You can use your guest passes when you book tickets online.
- You can also visit the Ticketing Counter located directly inside the main entrance during regular Museum hours or reach out to the Call Center (202.654.0991) or Membership Office (202.654.2840) to redeem this benefit.
- Please note that the Spy Ring (Family) membership level does not include guest passes.
How do I reserve advance timed tickets with my membership?
- You can reserve advanced timed tickets and purchase additional tickets through our website. You will need your Membership ID and Last Name to login. If you’ve forgotten your Membership ID, you can also login with the email address associated with your account.
- You can also call our Call Center at 202.654.0991 to reserve advance timed tickets.
Do I have to reserve advance timed tickets with my membership?
- You may visit the museum at any time with your digital membership card. When you arrive, if you have not reserved tickets online, please visit the Ticketing Counter.
- We highly recommend booking tickets in advance online if you are visiting during peak times, on a holiday, or if you need to purchase additional discounted tickets.
How do I purchase additional discounted tickets?
- You can reserve advanced timed tickets and purchase additional tickets through our website. You will need your Membership ID and Last Name to login. If you’ve forgotten your Membership ID, you can also login with the email address associated with your account.
- You can also visit the Ticketing Counter located directly inside the main entrance during regular Museum hours or reach out to our Call Center at 202.654.0991.
- Members receive $5 off additional general admission tickets for up to 9 tickets per day.
Digital Membership Cards and Online Transactions:
How do I download my digital membership card?
- You can download your digital membership card here.
- You can also download the eMembership Card app through your app store. Once you’ve downloaded the app, search for International Spy Museum and click “Find My Membership Cards.”
How do I login to the website?
- You can login to our website here. You will need your Membership ID and your last name to login. Alternatively, you can use the primary email address on your account.
I renewed my membership, but the expiration date hasn’t been updated on my digital card. How do I fix this?
- Your membership expiration date should update automatically. If it does not, download the eMembership Card app through your app store. Once you’ve downloaded the app, search for International Spy Museum. Select “Find My Membership Cards,” and re-download your digital membership card.
How do I book member tickets online? How do I book additional discounted tickets online?
- You can reserve advanced timed tickets and purchase additional tickets through our website. You will need your Membership ID and Last Name to login. If you’ve forgotten your Membership ID, you can also login with the email address associated with your account.
I’m booking tickets online and I’ve received the error message: “Discounted ticket limit exceeded.”
- “# per day: Express Access Pass full price tickets.” Express Access passes are the number of unlimited tickets you receive with your membership per day. You have exceeded the number of tickets allotted for your membership, please edit the number in order to proceed.
- Operative: 1 per day
- Spy Ring: 7 per day
- Alberti: 2 per day
- Lafayette: 2 per day
- Argo: 2 per day
- “# per event: Additional Guest Pass full price tickets.” Additional Guest passes are the number of guest passes you receive with your membership per year (of membership). You have exceeded the number of passes allotted for your membership, please edit the number in order to proceed.
- Operative: 1 guest pass
- Spy Ring: 0 guest passes
- Alberti: 8 guest passes
- Lafayette: 12 guest passes
- Argo: 16 guest passes
- “9 combined per day: Adult, College, Military/Law Enforcement, Senior, Youth full price tickets.”
What does “Express Access Pass” mean?
- Express Access passes are the number of unlimited tickets you receive with your membership per day.
- Operative: 1 per day
- Spy Ring: 7 per day
- Alberti: 2 per day
- Lafayette: 2 per day
- Argo: 2 per day
Gift Memberships:
Can I give membership as a gift?
- Yes! Give the gift of SPY online by selecting “Give as a Gift” under any membership level. You can also give the gift of membership by phone at 202.654.2840.
Does my gift recipient receive confirmation of this gift?
- No. Please be aware that you will need to forward the membership information included in your confirmation email to your intended gift recipient.
- Why do we do this? We don’t want to spoil a birthday or holiday present! Forward this information in email form or print it out and put it in a card, it’s up to you when you let them know that you’ve given the gift of SPY.
I’ve received a gift membership; how do I use my benefits?
- Congratulations! You are now a member of the Inner Circle. Membership benefits start immediately.
- All membership benefits are listed here.
- Download your digital membership card by clicking here. You’ll need the Membership ID number included in the purchaser’s confirmation email. Can’t find that information? Email membership@spymuseum.org.
- You can login to reserve advanced membership tickets here. You’ll also need to login if you’re purchasing discounted tickets for any of our upcoming programs.
The International Spy Museum reserves the right to terminate, cancel, suspend, or revoke any membership at any time for any reason. Purchase of an annual membership does not entitle purchaser to renewal in a subsequent year.
