New SKYFALL Artifact: Raoul Silva's Teeth

As SKYFALL, the twenty-third installment in the James Bond film franchise, is released on DVD and Blu-ray nationwide, the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C., unveils the latest artifact to join its newest special exhibition, “Exquisitely Evil: 50 Years of Bond Villains.”

On Wednesday morning, the Museum will unveil to the public the mutilated teeth of Bond’s latest adversary, Raoul Silva, as worn by actor Javier Bardem in SKYFALL. In the film, the teeth set up an integral plot point as Silva reveals his dark past to M, portrayed by Dame Judi Dench. The villain’s disfigured face and teeth were digitally composited in the final film. This newest addition joins a collection of more than 110 cinematic and historical artifacts in an exhibition that explores the power of the iconic James Bond film series in shaping the public’s understanding of the world of espionage. 

“Exquisitely Evil,” which opened to the public in November, enables visitors to make connections between fact and fiction and discover how the evildoers and their plots have changed to reflect the times. In addition to film and historical artifacts, the exhibit features captivating videos in which members of the intelligence community comment on the Bond films and share their own “Bond Moments.” Visitors to the 5,500-square-foot exhibit also have the unique opportunity to step into Bond’s shoes and to explore their more villainous side through interactive experiences.

Artifacts featured in the exhibit are provided by London-based film company EON Productions, a subsidiary of Danjaq LLC, the producer of the James Bond film series. Admission to “Exquisitely Evil” is part of the general admission ticket to the Museum.
