Join us for an online discussion of the latest intelligence, national security, and terrorism issues in the news. Spy Museum Executive Director Chris Costa will lead the briefing. Costa a former intelligence officer of 34 years with 25 of those in active duty in hot spots such as Panama, Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Iraq is also a past Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Counterterrorism on the National Security Council. He will be joined by Gerald P. Hamilton, former Senior Intelligence Service Officer with the Directorate of Operations of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
Hamilton served with the CIA for 35 years in numerous senior management positions. The majority of his career was devoted to overseas duty, primarily in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, South Asia and Europe. He is a recipient of the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal, the National Clandestine Service Career Medal, and two Donovan Awards for Exceptional Performance. Hamilton held assignments at CIA Headquarters at the Office Director and Division Chief level and was appointed by former CIA Director Leon E. Panetta as the first Director of the Employee Resource Center which was created to combine, focus, and increase the capabilities of existing offices responsible for promoting diversity and equal opportunity within the agency.
