Make a visit to the International Spy Museum – Mission Possible! On special days throughout the year, SPY opens its doors exclusively for neurodivergent individuals and those with sensory differences. On these Access days, the Museum sets private hours so individuals can enjoy a visit with less noise, fewer people, and designated quiet rooms.
Below are upcoming Access dates. If none are listed, click here to join our Access email list to be notified about future dates.
For guests who are unable to visit on Access days, these resources will help you plan for a successful Museum experience:
- SPY Know Before You Go Video
- Sensory Sensitivities Map
- Social Narrative for Children accompanied by an Adult
- Social Narrative for Adults and Teens during an Independent Visit
- Visual Schedule
- Visual Schedule Cards
- Gallery Activity Systems
- Communication Cards
Sensory backpacks are available for free at the front desk (while supplies last); just ask a staff member at the ticketing counter for one. Each backpack contains 1 sensory map, 1 visual schedule, and 1 fidget or stress ball. A limited number of noise-cancelling headphones (both adult and youth sizes) are available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis. Please ask a staff member at the ticketing counter for a pair. Guests are requested to leave a photo ID at the ticketing counter while using Museum headphones.
