OR Performance and Spy Museum Talkback
A Constellation Theatre Company production at the Atlas Performing Arts Center
1333 H St NE, Washington, DC 20002
Liz Duffy Adams’ play entitled OR, is a fast-paced, witty comedy that blends romance, feminism, and espionage in 1660s England. The farce follows Aphra Behn—spy, poet, and the first professional female playwright—as she races to finish a script, navigate secret missions, and juggle lusty entanglements, all in one chaotic night. With clever wordplay and whimsical plot twists, OR, is a celebration of art, passion, and sexual freedom. OR runs from May 15 - June 7, 2026, at the Atlas Performing Arts Center.
On Sunday, May 31, Amanda A Ohlke, Director of Adult Education at the International Spy Museum. will sit down with Constellation Theatre Company’s Nick Martin after the matinee to discuss Aphra Behn. Was she really a spy? What do we know about this part of her life? What was spying like during the reign of King Charles II and what about Aphra suggests she’d have been quite good at it!
