SchoolTalk DC Partnership

The International Spy Museum (SPY) partnered with SchoolTalk DC to bring seven high school students with disabilities to SPY for a paid internship during the 2025-2026 school year.

The internship was split between a film project and career exploration sessions on the various career opportunities available at the Museum. Over the course of eight visits to SPY, the students met with 17 staff members in seven different departments in relaxed career exploration discussions. Staff discussed their career paths, what brought them to SPY, their current roles and responsibilities, successes and failures they faced, and answered students’ questions.

Students also worked on a project to produce a film on the accessibility features of the International Spy Museum for their peers. The students had a hand in researching, writing, directing, and editing the film. The film was then premiered at a special Operation: Accessibility at the Museum for family, friends, and stakeholders. Please enjoy the film below!
