Assistant Podcast Producer
Salary Range:
$65,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually
The International Spy Museum is a private nonprofit museum dedicated to educating the public about the world of espionage and intelligence through exhibits, educational programs, special events, and public outreach.
The International Spy Museum Programs and Podcast Assistant Producer will manage communication systems for the podcast, create the first edit of the podcast, and complete administrative functions for the programs team.

- Understanding of an ability to represent the SPY brand in production meetings, editing content, and episode selection.

- An ability to demonstrate discretion and professionalism when working with high-profile guests.
Responsibilities
- Podcast Production
- Coordinate and book guest interviews, managing communications with speakers, hosts, production partners, and internal staff.
- Create initial podcast edits using editing software.
- Write comprehensive show notes and transcripts for each episode.
- Approve video episodes for YouTube and ensure quality control.
- Facilitate successful tapings, including pre-recording logistics and live monitoring.
- Track episode progress from concept to release across audio, video, and social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the Communications & Marketing team to promote episodes and maximize audience engagement.
- Evaluate and manage podcast pitches from internal and external sources.
Programs Department Support
- Provide administrative support including scheduling, notetaking, and calendar coordination.
- Assist with logistics for full-department events and adult programs.
- Book Museum spaces for programs and events.
- Track and report weekly metrics.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Programs.
Minimum Education & Experience Required
- A bachelor’s degree in a field related to the technical or the content side aspects of the position (e.g., media studies, communications, international relations, history)
- Experience with podcast production
- Working knowledge of platforms such as Descript, Riverside.fm, Megaphone, Headliner
- Working knowledge of productivity tools such as Trello, Calendly, and Asana
- Passion regarding museums/education/communication
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products

Occasional evening and weekend work required.
