Set in the present day MCU, Samuel L. Jackson returns as Nick Fury who learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.

MCU's Secret Invasion
Here's everything revealed we know about the MCU Secret Invasion show. As part of the MCU's Phase 5, the Disney+ production continues the storyline of Nick Fury and the Skrull Talos, who previously appeared together in both Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home. The TV series will be based on the comic book run of the same name. Secret Invasion producer Jonathan Schwartz confirmed the show takes inspiration from the Cold War espionage thrillers of John le Carré, as well as from modern-day TV shows such as Homeland and The Americans. Jackson also revealed that Secret Invasion's "political aspect" would be very relevant to today's real-world society.
