Double Agent (Seasonal/Part-Time)

The International Spy Museum (SPY) is currently seeking qualified recruits to join their team. Top recruits will demonstrate the ability to elevate the guests’ Museum journey by providing attentive and engaging customer service, safety and security all while performing key Museum exhibit functions. Hours worked will be between 18 -28 hours weekly, 6 - 8 hour shifts a day between the hours of 9am - 11pm. Required availability Weekdays, Weekends and Holidays.

Mission Summary:

The Double Agent will provide in-house support to the Guest Services Manager / Security Sergeant / Security Corporal of the International Spy Museum. They will ensure the overall physical safety and security for all guests, staff, artifacts and exhibits of the International Spy Museum. S/he is responsible for curating guest experiences based on individual guest needs and providing a memorable and exciting experience at all times.

Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor and maintain crowd control and flow of exiting guests and promptly report operational problems to GS and Security Managers
  • Consistently supports and assists Museum management in maintaining operational excellence, including performing basic cleaning and general upkeep of public areas
  • Utilizes standard operating procedures to resolve guest concerns and complaints in an efficient and effective manner. Communicates guest concerns/complaints to management and offers solutions to improve the overall guest experience
  • Ensures the security, safety and well-being of all staff, guests and the premises
  • Creates an immersive and enjoyable Museum experience for guests
  • Immediately responds to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and guests 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • HS diploma required
  • 1 year security experience
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Possess the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
  • Detailed-oriented
  • Have the ability to problem solve and multi-task
  • Have the ability to communicate well within group settings
  • Have an engaging and outgoing personality
  • Must be available to work a varied schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Have the desire to have fun at work, enjoy a team atmosphere and an interest in the Spy Museum mission
  • Adhere to all company service and operating standards
  • Be punctual for assigned shifts and have reliable transportation
  • Candidates must show strong initiative judgment and decisiveness and be prepared to embrace new tasks and working practices
