- Guests are immersed in the world of espionage for an entire day as they tour Washington, DC aboard a private coach, dine and dish with a former spymaster in a private Zola dining room, get the behind-the-scenes tour of the International Spy Museum with two former CIA Chiefs of Disguise, and test their own spy skills in the new interactive experience Operation Spy™. This is the chance to head deep undercover into the realm of espionage, intrigue, deception, and betrayal in the spy capital of the world.
- Begin the day discovering the “secret history of history” during a private bus tour of DC’s most notable espionage sites. Spy City Tours™ blows the cover off some of the most notorious spy cases ever to unfold in the nation’s capital. A “Training Officer” briefs tour-goers on key sites linked to intelligence triumphs, disasters, and mysteries high-level former intelligence officers provide video briefings and tradecraft secrets as the tour winds its way through the city.
- Following the tour, join Peter Earnest, Founding Executive Director of the International Spy Museum and 35 year veteran of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA,) for a delectable debrief in Zola’s private Dreyfus dining room. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dine and dish with an extraordinary spymaster!
- Next, guests are greeted by Tony and Jonna Mendez. They get the inside story from these true insiders during a guided tour of the International Spy Museum’s permanent exhibition. Husband-and-Wife team Tony and Jonna Mendez are both former CIA Chiefs of Disguise. Both are founding International Spy Museum Board Members and are ready to share their expertise and bring their own unique stories to life from their distinguished careers as you explore the craft, practice, history, and contemporary role of espionage.
- To top off the day of spying go deep undercover in an exclusive visit to Operation Spy, a new and groundbreaking immersive experience that takes the interactive concept to a higher level. In an action-packed hour, participants take on the role of U.S. intelligence officers on an international mission to locate a missing nuclear device on the verge of being sold to a rogue nation. This intense experience combines live-action, video characters, themed environments, special effects, and hands-on activities. Participants leave Operation Spy either congratulated on their success or aware of their failure, and conscious of the real challenges of participating in the “great game” of espionage.
