International Spy Museum Celebrates Five Years!

In celebration of its 5th anniversary the International Spy Museum is offering five dollar admission to all guests on 19 July 2007.  Since its opening in July 2002, the Museum has helped to shape the face of a vibrant new downtown DC.  With visitation and revenue still exceeding expectations, the Museum continues to grow, taking the brand in exciting new directions.

The Museum has seen over 3.5 million guests walk through its doors to date, far exceeding initial projections of just 500,000 guests annually.  Museum officials view this as a great success in a town where competition is fierce with over 100 museums in the greater DC metropolitan area, most offering free admission.  Its engaging interactive exhibits, the rich atmosphere provided by state-of-the-art immersive environments and the compelling personal stories of real spies have made the International Spy Museum a must-see destination.

“The Museum’s tremendous success in recent ventures speaks volumes and its one-of-a-kind content and operational structure has allowed us to take the brand beyond the walls of the Museum Complex,” said Paul Bosch, Chief Operating Officer of the Spy Museum.  “As a private organization, the International Spy Museum has reinvented the museum experience – one I am excited to build upon as we continue to grow the brand and ensure a long life for this ground-breaking organization.”
