Under the direction of the Retail Operations Manager, you will lead the team to meet daily sales goals and exceed customer expectations. With a constant eye on the sales floor, you adjust staffing as needed to ensure customers are acknowledged and have an engaging positive experience in the Spy Store. You’re a mentor. You provide productive feedback and thoughtful guidance to Sales Associates, ensuring their success on the Sales Team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and be a role model on the sales floor actively working to achieve daily sales goals.
Oversee floor coverage and supervise Sales Associates.
Provide excellent customer service to Spy Museum guests.
Be familiar with all the retail procedures in order to process sales transactions accurately in the store and at events.
Supervise shop opening and closing functions, handle change requests including safe access.
Provide major assistance in developing creative incentives, promotions, and events that engage staff and guests in the store.
Train and mentor sales associates according to Spy Museum customer service standards.
Work with Sales Team to maintain store displays between customer interactions and sales transactions.
Learn and understand the Spy Museum’s collection and exhibits and incorporate those into the retail operation.
Must be a positive team player and demonstrate collaborative skills within the department and with other departments in the Spy Museum.
Must have flexibility to work weekends and nights to accommodate regular Museum and extended hours as well as programs and special events.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
College graduate and/or coursework required.
Minimum 3 years of retail and customer service experience required.
