Associate Graphics Designer

Position Summary: Responsible for management of a variety of projects primarily involved in electronic communication, social media, web site design and development, to include web content and messaging directed to markets, members, and the general public. This includes overall navigation flow, design, and layout of specific pages. Responsibilities also include the design, development, and maintenance of the user interface and maintenance of e-blast schedule. All output must keep with the brand and design standards of the Museum.

Curator/Historian

The International Spy Museum, the only public museum in the U.S. solely dedicated to the tradecraft, history, and contemporary role of espionage, seeks a dynamic and creative individual to serve as member of the Exhibitions and Programs team. As the Museum's main content specialist, the Curator/Historian performs research on wide ranging topics to support educational programs, exhibitions, publications, and media outreach, and develops, organizes and/or conducts programs for the general public, educators, scholars, and professionals in the intelligence community. Responsibilities include: writing (including educator resources, exhibit labels, blogs, and professional articles); exhibit development; representing the Museum to the public, VIPs, and media; identifying and coordinating with experts in the intelligence community to present programs addressing current issues and scholarship; research, study, and interpretation of the collection and assisting with acquisitions; and, building and expanding the Museum's local, national, and international reputation.

This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. Individual must enjoy working with the public and public speaking. Requires demonstrated ability to plan and bring to fruition creative, innovative, and thought provoking programs. Ability to work in a team setting a must. Interest or background in material culture studies a plus; teaching, museum, or other pertinent experience highly desirable. Flexible schedule with occasional morning/evening/weekend hours is also required.
